Third part of the same building,For the science buffs, what goes up must come down...Unless your in the 4th dimension like in the twilight zone when the child goes thru the portal, supposed to have really happened!Find out what the planets are up to from Mercury,Mars which is in retro,to Pluto which I still say is a planet class, how gravity works and the periodic table, has to be over a 110 by now, Then to the planetarium show from astronomy to pink floyd Panoramic view, pulsars to supernovae, learning the speed of light...Which seems how fast the tour and show goes Maybe a membership might be the ticket for all three,The equation is solvable.https://manitobamuseum.ca/main/visit/planetarium/
The Manitoba Museum is the province’s largest, not-for-profit heritage and science centre. We are renowned for our vivid portrayal of Manitoba’s rich and colourful history, Planetarium shows, and Science Gallery exhibits.
MUSEUM GALLERIES
The Museum’s collections reflect the heritage of Manitoba and other regions of the world. Our nine interpretive galleries explore the interrelationship of people and their environment. Travel through millions of years as you journey from north to south across Manitoba’s vast and varied landscape, from the icy arctic coast to the windswept prairies.
The Museum is noted for its three-dimensional walk-through galleries. Highlights include the Nonsuch, a full-size 17th-century sailing vessel, and the Urban Gallery, which takes you back in time to Winnipeg during the 1920s.
PLANETARIUM
The Planetarium features interactive multimedia shows that recreate the current night sky, explore various hot topics in astronomy, and highlight the latest space discoveries. From imaginative children’s shows to more sophisticated fare, the Planetarium shares the wonders of the universe with visitors of all ages.
SCIENCE GALLERY
Touch the universe with more than 100 entertaining hands-on exhibits in the Science Gallery. Push the limits of your imagination, put your senses to the test and explore science, technology and the world around you in an exciting, high-energy environment.
The Manitoba Museum is the recipient of many recent awards and designations, including the Michelin Green Guide top rating "Worth the Trip", the Province of Manitoba’s Tourism Service Excellence Award, the Attractions Canada Prix Award (provincial) for indoor attractions, and the Canadian Tourism Commission’s "Win with Winter in Canada" Award for the "Great Canadian Fur Trade" behind-the-scenes tour.
