                                                             Don's Restaurant                                                                                                                  120 Donald St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Don's nestled at Donald & Broadway.Great to eat there first,then go to family foods to do your grocery shopping...You can focus better on a full stomach,Two sections to choose from,one looking at Broadway Larger more people conversation volume quite high...Then the area at Donald & looking at the human rights building,smaller sitting arrangements no booths,but more easier to converse...the menu is a array of greasy spoon to fancy spancy,should have spell check that word,LOL...20 bucks will do you good,Local artist sells there paintings there,so order a burger and enjoy the scenario!The staff are great and on the ball...Last thing, know city has to generate revenue but be very careful with parking, brother in law got his car towed and it was like that reality show all over....http://www.thedonrestaurantwinnipeg.com/

                                                      The Legislative Grounds                                                                                                                                                                                                Where we gather to express our democratic rights and opinion & freedoms...Back to front will go,south side....The fountain is just the right size to give you a spray and A chill,wish people wouldn't swim in it,
warning signs every where!The polar bears theme dot the the landscape with a statue of Louis Riel,down the stairs to walk to the forks,plenty of benches to sit & take in the sites...The west side is has spacious green area to Osborne street,statues of prominent people who made a change for Canada....To the north side is Queen Victoria,who the video is celebrating,little glitch it's a 5 min video of the sounding of the guns,have to trim it to a 100mb.Broadway and memorial park and lots of food venues, and on the other post  I Mentioned, can walk to other sites...Has been an interesting Journey to get all this freedom,it's worth it, the smiles on the children says it  all.Free to walk so get out and enjoy!  Open house this week-end also.The grounds are kept in pristine conditon all the time!http://www.gov.mb.ca/mit/legtour/index.html guided tours are exceptional!

                                          THE                                                                MILLENNIUM                                                                LIBRARY                                                                                              Learning is everything! The building has 4 levels of topics for every-one,like in the scene in the twilight zone the gentleman who loves to read and end up the last one alive on earth,just be careful with your glasses,L.O.L, A great variety of  free classes from genealogy, to computers, taxation,lesson.Each floor has ample computer to use,as you can see by the bulletin board there's alot to choose from... 
  Lot's of study space, also has a feeling from total recall,don't shoot the glass!the outside area is quite scenic,plus the main police department is right across the street,to your left in the pic...so no library police needed....Cozy little cafe/food kiosk when you walk in,so get a smoothie and a little war and peace or Dr. seuss,It's learning no matter the way you look at it, There's little fish in that pond during the summer season,a block away there the windsor hotel,you can reflect on the reading material over a Corona...there's alot going on at library!plus there's a children's learning area.

                                                                  THE MET                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The old meets the new,I grew up with  the metropolitan,1970's,Rocky balboa,phantom of the paradise,of course the bad new bears,world was a different scene,Old theatre settings from the 1900's vaudeville era, red carpets, spiral staircase to the second floor, think some time should have grew up in the twenties.Coco chanel, picasso,the silent movies,back to the present,now renovated and showing movies like (JAWS)...35 for a seat,but can get everything to eat and drink,never mind the new technology for the sound system!seating very spacious & comfortable,maybe start at MTS and then the MET,or vice versa..                       http://www.themetwinnipeg.com/

                                                                 P.T.E                                                                                      Located literally in the heart of the city of winnipeg,my experiance was some 19 years ago...Decided to get my grade 12  thru adult education,called ( PACE PROGRAM)located at the theatre,the experiance was incredible!the regular school education, but took also theatre, the Arts are my lifeblood,the classes are very comfortable but a bit of seriousness    to them...great sound to each classroom, and the teachers are top notch!most now are teaching at the universities, but the new new blood is as good ,alway have my ears to the wall.... The main theatre is panoramic anywhere you sit you get a great view,feels like the scene in beaches when bette midler walk on stage and it's empty/?the gift shop is huge!used to be the imax kind of miss it,used to go after rehearsals,but a ton of stuff to look thru from the theatre,restaurants everywhere in the mall,reasonably priced...                                                                               eater · 1.0 km

                                                 MTS CENTRE                                                           345 Graham Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3C 5S6                                                                Pearl of a place!Winnipeg Jet's,the Mouse,concerts galore!My seasonal favorite is Cirque Du Soleil,Anyof the 15 thousand plus seating view is quite good.Sound Quality is superb,every concession stand                      imaginable,little pricey but if you want to impress the in-laws your good to go,LOL,Including sharks                     casino on the walkway,incredible staff, food and big screens everywhere!also moxie downstairs great                 burgers,then around corner Starbucks,for some jitters.Occasionally Wrestling roles in too,the big buzz            is  GARTH BROOKS!neighbor went to the who and had a fabulous 4 hours of rock & roll,on a more                   relaxing note same neighbor went shopping for grocery next day and stranger snag his cart,looked at least four   aisles to find her,maybe she was thinking of paying it forward.  http://www.mtscentre.ca/  The new photo is the Sharks casino,sorry for the quilty,cell phone have limited distance,located in Ci-ti place,lots of fun ,good luck!Quick flash, the Selena Gomez concert was a electrical event!Update, the Garth brooks concerts was enjoyed by ever-one!then there's Meatloaf,Cirque Du soeil is the one I'm looking forward to in October,two out of three ain't bad.

The MTS Centre is an indoor sports arena and entertainment venue located at 300 Portage Avenue in downtownWinnipegManitoba, Canada. The arena is the home of the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League and the Jets' American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.[6][7][8]
The MTS Centre stands on the former Eaton's site and is owned and operated by True North Sports & Entertainment. The 440,000 square feet[1] (41,000 m2) building was constructed at a cost of $133.5 million CAD. It opened on November 16, 2004, replacing the since-demolished Winnipeg Arena. It has a capacity of 15,294 for hockey and 16,345 for concerts. Originally known as the True North Centre during its planning and construction stages, its naming rights are owned by Bell MTS.

THE HUMAN RIGHTS BUILDING IN THE FORKS,ONE OF THE FIRST AND MANY GEMS OF WINNIPEG!great for those exercise enthusiasts,the incline is just enough to feel it all the way up,the gift shop is loaded with everthing included ukuleles!the bistro is great food and atmosphere,the deserts are decante,very romantic and the staff is wonderful!I know feel in love with someone there.

     New exhibit (Empowering Women).exhibit that looks at female artisans co-ops,has also a video,virtual experiance included, showing the many countries of inspirational women around the world.On display till Jan 8th.
